It’s Domestic Violence Awareness Month

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. According to www.ncadv.org (the web site for the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence), the intent is to “connect battered women’s advocates across the nation who were working to end violence against women and their children.”

Every 12 seconds a woman is beaten by a husband or boyfriend. There are several local agencies that combat this and I’ve listed their web sites below so that you can find more information and consider giving a donation so that they can continue their great work.
